SMITCOMS the International
Telecommunication Carrier by Choice
SMITCOMS is the abbreviation for “Sint Maarten International
telecommunications Services Limited”. SMITCOMS is a limited
liability company established under the laws of the Netherlands
Antilles with its official place of registration on the
Island territory of Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles.
The Shareholder of SMITCOMS is the Island Territory of
Sint Maarten- Government of Sint Maarten. SMITCOMS was
officially established on May 10th , 2000.Hence Smitcoms
has achieved some major milestones.
The purpose of SMITCOMS is primarily to develop Telecommunication
products and services as per the granted International
concession. The successful international operation of
SMITCOMS will continue to depend on it establishing good
working relations with the other National Concession holders
as well as with International carriers and other reputable
telecommunications entities. The monopolistic situation
pertaining to the international communications on Sint
Maarten has been removed. Recently SMITCOMS has established
an affiliated company “SMITCOMS INC” , established under
the laws of the state of Delaware in the USA which company
has now attained an FCC 214 license and subsequently enabling
SMITCOMS to provide international telecommunication services
in the USA and Puerto Rico. Other network and service
provider licenses has been requested within the Netherlands
Antilles and French Sint Maarten.
In aggressively moving forward SMITCOMS is expanding its
accessibility with fiber optic link to Puerto Rico to
enable SMITCOMS to become an International hub as well
as to offer higher quality of Services to business and
residentials.
